Hotel Edison is located in Baranowo in district Tarnowo Podgórne, placed in Wysoczyzna Poznańska (Plateau of Poznan) with postglacial characteristics. Numerous archeological monuments from this area are placed in Poznań Archeological Museum. A place worth seeing is palace in Jankowice build in 1806 in classic revival European style, in a form of villa, being a functional and representative apartment. In the surrounding there is a picturesque park in English style.
Well maintained manor house with a park in Chyby located by the Kierskie lake was built in the second half of the 18th century.
Neo-Gothic castle in Lusowo was built in the second half of the 19th century (there are some relicts of the 17th century object). In the 20’s it belonged to General Dowbor-Muśnicki, officer in the Polish army and the military commander of the Greater Poland Uprising 1918-1919.
There is an intriguing place – palace in Swadzim, built 1919, a building in eclectic style. Palace is located by the ponds in the park and it is reachable by the bridge over the ponds.
Churches in Lusowo, Ceradz Kościelny and Tarnowo Podgórne are worth seeing as monuments of culture and because of pieces of arts collected inside them. Visiting the church in Lusowo from May to October on the first Sunday of the month it is possible to take part in “Music Mornings of Lusowo” (concerts).
